leave a comment »

The time is almost here for the first iPhone + Mobile camp.  It will be here Saturday morning December 12 from 8 am to 1 pm.  At this event you can learn more about mobile technology for a great price (Free)!  If you have ever thought about writing an app for the iPhone or Android or if you have ever thought about hiring a developer then this is a great event for you.  Even if you are a seasoned mobile developer there is something at this event for you too.

Participants of iPhone and Mobile Camp Birmingham 2009 will determine the presentation itinerary at the Dec. 12 event. Modeled after BarCamp conferences, the iPhone and Mobile Camp will allow attendees to pitch and vote on the day’s topics. The free event will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Dec. 12 at Daxko’s headquarters.

Presentations will include topics on development, marketing and sales and creating mobile applications for non-developers. Registration will be conducted on-site beginning at 8 a.m. and can also be done online at http://mobilebham.eventbrite.com/. If you plan on attending please do us a favor and RSVP at the link below.

If you are interested in presenting or sponsoring, or just have general questions you can reach us through the contact form at the website.

Thanks and we hope to see you there.

Multi-User Group Holiday Party Tonight!

leave a comment »

Just a reminder to all that tonight is the Birmingham Multi-User Group Holiday Party. The Birmingham Software Developers Association (BSDA), Birmingham.Net Users Group (BUG.NET), Steel City SQL Users Group, and the Silverlight Nights Users Group are combining forces for this annual holiday event. Families from these groups will get together at Richards BBQ and Grill on Acton Road for an evening of fun. To make things easy each family will pay for their own meal from their very reasonably priced menu.

If you are or were a member of these groups we want to encourage you to attend and bring the family. Even if you are just interested in user groups in Birmingham we invite you to come on out, the more the merrier. And, we promise our spouses / dates / families no geek talk. Well, not too much.

Happy Holidays!
