BSDA LINQ Bootcamp Wrapup
At the recent BSDA LINQ Bootcamp, there were two chapters in the book that we did not get to. BSDA member Vito Amato has volunteered to cover these chapters for us at the next Birmingham Software Developers Association meeting.
Programming Microsoft LINQ Chapters 11 and 13
Inside Expression Trees (Chapter 11)
The chapter starts with an introduction to the characteristics of expression trees and the lambda expression syntax. Then leads to dissecting an expression tree, analyzing the more common and important node types. The chapter closes with showing some techniques for navigating and modifying an expression tree and finally reaching some discussion about the dynamic generation of expression trees.
Parallel LINQ (Chapter 13)
This chapter introduces the basic concepts of the Parallel Extension to the .NET Framework and describes the syntax and common uses of PLINQ
