Building SOLID Applications at the next BUG.NET Meeting
SOLID is an acronym that represents five crucial principles of class design in object oriented development. The terms were originally coined by Robert Martin (aka Uncle Bob). Although these concepts are certainly not new, they have received considerable press in the .NET community over the last several months, but there is still a lot of confusion among many developers regarding their meaning. In this session, we will examine the significance of these principles and examples of how to apply them in your applications.
Jeff Barnes is a passionate software developer and advocate of the Microsoft .NET platform. He has an intense conviction that developers should strive to better themselves and avoid the trap of becoming complacent with their skills. His enthusiasm is deeply rooted in engineering solutions for the unique challenges often found within the realm of distributed systems. This passion has driven him to become involved with the developer community in order to evangelize the benefits of .NET. Jeff currently works as a Software Engineer for DAXKO. He is also a two-time Microsoft MVP for Connected Systems.
